The Arizona State University Policy Design Studio and Internship Program provides an opportunity for students to live and work in Washington D.C. with instruction taking place by a former U.S. Ambassador.

The focus on a specific country will mean students experience what it is like to conduct “hands-on” diplomacy as if they were actual members of the U.S. Embassy Country Team. Students participating in the Policy Design Studio and Internship Program intern up to four days a week at an organization of interest to them (options include, but are not limited to, federal departments and agencies, law firms, lobbying and consulting firms, advocacy groups, media outlets, museums, think tanks, and non-profit organizations). Students also participate in a weekly seminar, in which they will research solutions to real world foreign policy issues. In addition, students will participate in character-driven leadership exercises and experiences. This is a fantastic opportunity for students in all majors, undergraduate or graduate, to gain valuable skills and hands-on work experience.

Livin’ on a Prayer (… you know, because we’re halfway there)

Since the last blog post I wrote, it has gotten significantly colder here in D.C. I love being able to experience the leaves on the trees change color from green to yellow to red, and finally wearing jeans comfortably is fantastic. However, the seven days of 24-hour rain had me feeling like I lived in…
